Matthew Flynn has a decade and a half of experience researching the Asian shipbuilding and maritime fields, first in his role as the East Asia Editor for Lloyd's List and then as the principal of Flynn Consulting. He has lived in Hong Kong and Tokyo for the past 15 years.
He is a 1993 MA graduate of Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies with a concentration in China, Japan, and International Economics. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
In 2003, he completed a 188-page report "China Shipbuilding : The Emerging Giant" published with Poten & Partners of New York.
Mr Flynnís work with Worldyards has focused on technical and commercial elements of the newbuilding market as well as conducting projects on the offshore and repair sectors.
He has worked with maritime economists and financial analysts covering all sectors including tanker,container, bulker, LNG and offshore. While his most extensive experience relates to East Asia, his research and projects span from Russia & Brazil to the Middle East and Africa.
He is a founding partner of Worldyards.
Ms. Odessa Dacmay : Marketing/Content Director
Odessa Dacmay has worked in a range of data analysis, research and consulting projects in the Philippines, Singapore and Shanghai, China.
Before joining Worldyards in 2007, she worked in a multi-national company in the Philippines supervising a team in data analysis and forecasting. She was also responsible in launching new projects and liaising with the U.S.-based clients.
Miss Dacmay obtained her Bachelor degree in Statistics in University of the Philippines.
